First Downlod Your Android SDK MANAGER
To download and install latest android Manager and development tools, and android provide us with android SDK manager. Android SDK Manager separates the apps, tools and different platforms to use and also different packages which you can download easily. and SDK Manager Software is fully free to use. so lets see how to download and use Android SDK to make your first mobile application.
Android SDK manager comes with the Android SDK bundle. and all SDK bundle are free to download, and You can't download it separately. You can download the Android SDK.
RUNNING ANDROID SDK MANAGER:
1: Once downloaded, you can launch Android SDK Manager software.
2: Click Window >>>> Android SDK Manager option in Eclipse software.
and Double Click on the SDK Manager, and some file in the Android SDK folder.
When it runs you will see the following screen:
simply select which package you want to download by selecting the check box and then click Install to install those packages you are select. SDK Manager software keeps it up to date with latest APIs and also other packages. so once you download the SDK Manager, following packages are availabe but only first three are these to run your SDK Manager and also others Manager,s are recommended below packages.
1: SDK Tools: This is necessary package to run your SDK.
2: SDK Platform-tools: This package will be installed once when you first run the SDK manager.
3: SDK Platform: Atleast one platform must be installed in your environment to run your SDK application.
4: System Image: It's a good practice to download system images for all of the android versions.
5: SDK Samples: This will give you some sample codes to learn about android.
ENABLING PROXY IN ANDROID SDK MANAGER
When you run the Android, SDK Manager, by default it will check from the Android Repository and Third Party Add and display the all available packages to you. and if you want to use any proxy, so you can do it by clicking on the (Tools Options) in the menu. Once you click it, you will see the following below screen.
Now Enter the proxy and run your SDK Manager.
Adding New Third Party websites If you want to download some Third Party Android, you can do it in the SDK manager by following these steps:
1: Click on the Tools in the menu
2: click on Manage Add-ON sites option in the sub menu.
3: select the user Defined sites tab.
4: click the new button
after above steps following screen will be displayed.
- Now just add your website URL on XML file and then click OK button. now you can easily download any Third Party Add On in your development and easy to use. :)
